Casa De Luluel independent cosmetic, candle and wax melt maker’s tools and templates are designed for sole traders and small businesses. We designed them for our own use as a sole trader of organic and vegan cosmetics, now also including templates for candles and wax melts. Whether you’re just taking first steps as a cosmetic or candle maker or you want to update your current documents, these are the templates for you. We know the indie makers’ pockets are not deep, so we aim to keep prices affordable for everyone. All templates comply with the UK and the European Union (EU) cosmetic regulations, making them suitable for both markets.

We know from experience how hard it is for an indie cosmetic maker to make sense of the UK cosmetic regulations, when the requirements are not written with the sole traders and small businesses in mind. Our FREE Selling Your Cosmetic Products in the UK: 5 Steps to Compliance -course takes you through the UK cosmetic regulations, the process of obtaining a Cosmetic Product Safety Report, what is required in the Good Manufacturing Practice document, how to compile your Product Information File, and finally, how and where to register your product and business to start selling. Cosmetic Batch Log Template €4,80
Batch recordkeeping is not only a best practice, but a requirement for cosmetic products intended for sale in the UK and the European Union. Our Batch Log template consists of four sheets plus a guidance sheet with generous comments and examples.
The Batch Log sheet stores all batch information, including compatibility and stability monitoring results. The Deviations sheet is for recording deviations or abnormalities in the end-products or in the routine batch-making process. The last two sheets are bonus templates: Recipe Card sheets for leave-on products and soap. Recipe Cards have simple pre-formatted features to keep your cosmetic formulas in one place and connected to the batch log.

Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Template €8,50
Similar to PIF, a written Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is required for any cosmetic products intended for sale in the UK and the European Union. A GMP document is also a tool for fine-tuning your processes and maintaining consistent quality in your cosmetic production.
Our GMP template follows the ISO 22716 structure, guiding you through each of the chapters with generous comments and example phrases. The template covers scope, personnel-related matters, premises and equipment, materials, production, quality management, complaints, audit and document control matters.
The template is written from the perspective of an independent sole trader/small business, which takes into consideration home-based cosmetic makers.
This GMP template is a text document compatible with Microsoft Word and OpenOffice.
